SANTA CRISTINA, ‘CAMPOGRANDE’ ORVIETO 2022, UMBRIA, ITALY $14.99 The wines of Orvieto in the central region of Umbria rose to fame in the 1970s for their light crisp style packed with rich and inviting fruits they were the darling of the wine world. However, all that fame led to overproduction which decreased quality and almost a quickly as it rose to fame, Orvieto slumped back to anonymity. Decades later there has been a renewed interest in this once famed region, with new producers seeking to revive what made Orvieto so compelling int he first place. Anitonori creates Campogrande from vineyards in the traditional area of the Orvieto production. Grechetto and Procanico (Trebbiano) come together in equal proportions. Aromas on the nose are intense with pleasant fruity notes of ripe Golden apples, apricots, and orange zest. The palate is fresh, pleasantly savory, and slightly supple. The finish offers an aftertaste that echoes fruity notes perceived on the nose.
LUZÓN COLECCIÒN, SAUVIGNON BLANC & MACABEO 2023, JUMILLA, SPAIN $11.99 (MIXED) Bodegas Luzón has about 600 hectares of vineyards, which are controlled by technicians throughout its entire growth cycle. The estate is divided into three parcels: Castillo Luzón, Castillo de Madax, and Finca La Solana. The Jumilla region is situated in southeast Spain, north of the Murcia region on a plateau surrounded by mountains. Its continental climate is influenced by the Mediterranean sea, giving it warm days and cool nights. The region has over 3,000 hours of sunshine and rainfall under 300 lt/m2 year. Soils arecoarse-textured and stony, with sandy clay and abundant limestone, giving small clusters, with good sugar concentration, excellent acidity and thicker skins.
COLLE MASSARI, ‘MELACE’ VERMENTINO 2023, TUSCANY, ITALY $15.99 An organic wine from vineyards located about 300 meters above the sea level with diverse sun orientation and soil composition. Sandstone soils alternate with marl, ferrous and limestone loamy soils as well as gravel deposits. In connection with this optimum microclimate, these are ideal requirements for the cultivation of this particular type of vine. After a night of cryo-maceration, the vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control where the wine is refined for 5 months. Clean Vermentino with a fruity-fresh first sip. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, white peach and sweet limes with a hint of exotic fruits. Crispy and dry on the palate with fantastic minerality. It is a fresh and elegant summer wine, amazing as an aperitif!
CATHERINE & DIDIER TRIPOZ, CLOS DES TOURNONS 2023, BURGUNDY, FRANCE $18.99 (MIXED) Established in 1989, Domaine Catherine et Didier Tripoz is located in Charnay-lès-Mâcon at the southern end of the Mâcon appellation in southern Burgundy. Aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months, it is golden in appearance with green highlights. Lively, with the power of its fruit and flower scents and its persistent aromas. Balanced, rather mineral wine with a fruity touch. Vanilla aromas, some buttery notes and aromas of honey and quince, very long in the mouth. An excellent white Burgundy, it is an ideal pairing for your Turkey Day celebrations!

Founded in 1820, the winery has passed from one generation to the next, and today, 8th generation growers Cyril and Julie Laudet run the show. The local and rare soil, "Sables Fauves," or sandy loam, contributes to the strong mineral finish of this 100% Gros Manseng. Tropical and rich upfront with medium-plus acid and firm minerality make this a great cheese pairing as well as weeknight roasted chicken, or for any festive occasion.
CEMBRA, PINOT GRIGIO 2023, TRENTINO, ITALY $18.99 (MIXED) The name of the Cembra Cantina di Montagna cooperative means literally “Cembra Mountain Winery.” That’s because the cooperative, with its 400 or so member growers, is one of the highest-lying wineries in Italy, at roughly 700 meters a.s.l. The Pinot Grigio grape has been grown in Trentino for decades. In the terraced vineyards of the Cembra Valley it acquires the characteristics of minerality, verticality and freshness typical of upland cultivation. It presents a brilliant golden colour and an elegant varietal aroma of ripe fruit with hints of pear and yellow peach. On the palate it is refined, harmonious and well balanced, with distinctive minerality and a return of ripe fruit.
