DOMAINE DE THULON, MORGON 2022, BEAUJOLAIS, FRANCE $18.99 It just wouldn’t be November at Highland Fine Wine without a wonderful Beaujolais in our monthly selection. This is due to the fact that in our humble opinion, there is not better wine for your family’s Turkey Day needs, and this Beaujolais has a serious pedigree. Founded in the 15th Century, it came under new management in 1987 when Annie and René Jambon took over after a 20 year stint as ‘métayers' (a work-to-own scheme). Their children Carine and Laurent are now running the show. Their Morgon Les Charmes has a clean and vibrant bouquet with perfumed dark cherries, redcurrant, and a touch of gravel and rose petal. The palate is nicely structured, brimming over with energy. If we had to pick a ‘best’ village in Beaujolais it would go to Morgon, so we feel very fortunate to be able to source this one for your family this holiday season!

GORDO, MONASTRELL 2021, YECLA, SPAIN $18.99 "Gordo" is Patrick Mata's affectionate term for his father, José Mata, who used to make wine from the Monastrell (Mourvèdre) variety in the 1960s. Produced from dry farmed vineyards. Vines are tended in chalk soil at 713 m (2,339 ft) elevation. This type of soil and the elevation result in wines that exhibit greater freshness with lifted flavors. The wine boasts an opaque ruby/purple color along with notes of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, black raspberries and a hint of blueberries. The sensational fruit characteristics are pure, as well as vivid. This full-bodied, opulent, stunningly savory, expansively flavored wine can be drunk over the next 2-3 years.

SAN VINCENTE, CHIANTI RISERVA 2020, TUSCANY, ITALY $14.99 San Vincente Chianti Riserva is a refined wine that entices with its rich aromas of black cherry, bramble fruit, and hints of violet. On the palate, it reveals dark, ripe plum and berry fruit flavors, complemented by supple tannins and a nice long, rounded finish. This Chianti Riserva is a perfect match for salami and aged cheeses, and it pairs beautifully with grilled meats or game dishes.

LUZÓN COLECCIÒN, SAUVIGNON BLANC & MACABEO 2023, JUMILLA, SPAIN $11.99 Bodegas Luzón has about 600 hectares of vineyards, which are controlled by technicians throughout its entire growth cycle. The estate is divided into three parcels: Castillo Luzón, Castillo de Madax, and Finca La Solana. The Jumilla region is situated in southeast Spain, north of the Murcia region on a plateau surrounded by mountains. Its continental climate is influenced by the Mediterranean sea, giving it warm days and cool nights. The region has over 3,000 hours of sunshine and rainfall under 300 lt/m2 year. Soils arecoarse-textured and stony, with sandy clay and abundant limestone, giving small clusters, with good sugar concentration, excellent acidity and thicker skins.

CATHERINE & DIDIER TRIPOZ, CLOS DES TOURNONS 2023, BURGUNDY, FRANCE $18.99 Established in 1989, Domaine Catherine et Didier Tripoz is located in Charnay-lès-Mâcon at the southern end of the Mâcon appellation in southern Burgundy. Aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months, it is golden in appearance with green highlights. Lively, with the power of its fruit and flower scents and its persistent aromas. Balanced, rather mineral wine with a fruity touch. Vanilla aromas, some buttery notes and aromas of honey and quince, very long in the mouth. An excellent white Burgundy, it is an ideal pairing for your Turkey Day celebrations!

CEMBRA, PINOT GRIGIO 2023, TRENTINO, ITALY $18.99 The name of the Cembra Cantina di Montagna cooperative means literally “Cembra Mountain Winery.” That’s because the cooperative, with its 400 or so member growers, is one of the highest-lying wineries in Italy, at roughly 700 meters a.s.l. The Pinot Grigio grape has been grown in Trentino for decades. In the terraced vineyards of the Cembra Valley it acquires the characteristics of minerality, verticality and freshness typical of upland cultivation. It presents a brilliant golden colour and an elegant varietal aroma of ripe fruit with hints of pear and yellow peach. On the palate it is refined, harmonious and well balanced, with distinctive minerality and a return of ripe fruit.
