We love finding Cabernet Deals like this one! This wine performs above it's $24.99 price point as evidenced by the strong press and winery price. Recently, Matthews Winery "adopted" the winemaking team of Quliceda Creek, Washington's most prestigious winery. This wine has a great mixture of power and refinement, and just hits the mark in most every way. Dark fruits abound, and there's ample mouthfeel without being overly oaky or dried out. Tannins are classic for Washington state....full but not harsh. This is one to grab in volume as we have 10 cases right now and several more on the way.
Vineyard sourcing includes one of Washington's most famous vineyards, Champoux, in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA along with other choice parcels in the Red Mountain and Royal Slope AVA's. It's hard not to over-hype this wine as it's really nice today and will continue to remain on a nice plateau for several years.
