COOPER HILL, PINOT NOIR 2022, WILLAMETTE VALLEY, OREGON $19.99 (MIXED) In 1978 Dr. Robert Gross and his wife Corrine planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the slopes of Cooper Mountain, west of Portland. In 1987, the family converted an old horse barn on the property to start their own label; becoming early adopters to organic and biodynamic farming practices by 1990. After expanding to seven vineyards on over 200 acres, the family business is now the charge of founder Bob Gross and daughter Barbara Gross, who grew up with the vines on their first vineyard site. Delightful dark berry and pomegranate notes laced with earth and cola are dominant in this dry, but fruity, fresh and supple organic and biodynamic pinot noir!
TWO BIRD ONE STONE, CARIGNAN 2023, LANGUEDOC, FRANCE $12.99 (MIXED) A tale of two birds: one old world and one new world, the one stone they have in common is their love for outstanding wines and great terroirs. This story reflects the journey of head winemaker Marilyn Lasserre, born in the heart of southern France, she traveled the new world for her eduction: South America, South Africa and Australia. She has since returned to her native home, and began making wines that reflect this syncretic approach. Produced entirely from Carignan, this is the perfect "French Bistro Wine." Fermented and aged in tank, with a small amount of French oak staves added, it's rich, velvety, and packed with notes of ripe cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and spice. Perfect with a slight chill.
MANOS NEGRAS, MALBEC 2023, UCO VALLEY, MENDOZA, ARGENTINA $18.99 (MIXED) Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach are co-owners of Manos Negras, born from a lasting friendship, experience, and hard work. They met while working at the famed Bodega Catena Zapata, where they learned the trade, they then set out to make their own mark and began Manos Negras. A well-made Malbec that will blow you away with its classic aromas and flavors of plum, maraschino cherry, orange zest, and vanilla. The body is medium-to-full, with finely grained tannins and a succulent, fleshy palate. Perfect for BBQ.

FRIÃ FRIÕ, VINHO VERDE 2023, MINHO, PORTUGAL $17.99 (MIXED) The Fria Frio journey began along the river from the city of Porto, over green rolling hills into lush, vineyard-covered landscapes humming with insects and birds. Wine is a part of daily life here; many families have small plots of land with grapes filling every available space, growing beside vegetables and fruit trees, hung on pergolas and even draped over telephone poles! This is a place of warmth where no one is a stranger, just someone you haven’t met yet. Close friends Jocelyn & Lisa set out to bottle this sense of community, integrity, pride and most of all, love. This Vinho Verde D.O.C. is light and fresh with notes of green apple, pear, citrus and floral blossom. Made from sustainably grown grapes handpicked at the perfect moment to be fresh, fruity, zippy and naturally lower in alcohol and calories. The light effervescence makes it especially refreshing.
CONDE VALDEMAR, VIURA 2023, RIOJA, SPAIN $15.99 (MIXED) A story of wine that begins in 1889 with the first generation of this winemaking family, which was already making wines in Oyón at that time. More than 130 years of history that began in a small stone cellar in Oyón. Generation after generation followed in their footsteps until Jesús Martinez Bujanda (4th generation), together with his father, created Bodegas Valdemar in the 1980s. Pale yellow colour with greenish reflections, clean and bright. On the nose, it is intense and fresh, with notes of white fruit such as pear and subtle citrus touches. Delicate hints of aromatic herbs and white flowers emerge in the background. On the palate, it has a flavourful entry with a smooth, enveloping texture. Its long, fruity, and floral finish leaves a fresh and well-balanced sensation.
