Dario Serrentino of Mortellito makes 'Cala' from organic limestone vineyards in Sicily's Noto Valley. It's 90% Nero d'Avola and 10% Grillo co-fermented in stainless steel to produce a medium-bodied, chillable red made from up to 60 year-old bush vines. It's a fresh, bright, extremely drinkable version of Nero that will pair effortlessly with grilled tuna and seafood, panzenella salad, light pastas, and pizza night. 'Cala' is part of the FUSO wine series, bottling Italy's natural and delicious 'daily drinkers' that are organic, low-intervention, and terroir-driven wines.
